Fantasy Hunk of the Month

Mr. March 2002

FRANK SEPE

What a delightful surprise it was when my dearest friend and owner of Romantic Times magazine, Kathryn Falk, Lady of Barrow, brought me a gem of a find - the gorgeous, body beautiful, Frank Sepe, who is a romance cover model, fitness guru, fitness magazine model and editor of American Health magazine.
"Doreen, I highly recommend Frank for Fantasy hunk of the month," Lady Kathryn said, "he is not only famous but a great person. Check him out on his website and call me back."
After checking out his website, I knew I had to get in touch with him immediately. I was thrilled that I tracked him down and spoke to him on the phone. Right after he returned from a convention in Columbus, I had the following interview with the charming 6' 2", 235 lbs, light brown hair, hazel brown eye, Capricon, Super Model.
Doreen: "Frank, I can't believe that I am talking to you. I've just seen you on the cover of this month's Muscle & Fitness magazine. You look great. So, how was the convention?"
Frank: "Thanks, I'm pleased that you like the cover. The convention was fantastic, very busy and crowded. I signed over 2,000 autographs in just a day and it was a three-day event."
Doreen: "Wow, that is amazing, your hands and fingers must be numb and tired by now. How did you get started in modelling? Were you discovered by an agent or did you submit your pixs to a magazine?"
Frank: "I was discovered by a modelling agency in New York after I competed and won the NY Metropolitan Bodybuilding Championships. I was being filmed after the show for a local cable channel and a modelling agency contacted me shortly after that. I got into the fitness magazines when I was discovered in California by a photographer who was shooting for MUSCLEMAG international. He spotted me in the gym and asked me to do a photo shoot the next day. That one photo shoot spiralled into 22 shoots over an 11 day stint. I've never submitted pictures to a modelling agency. Basically, it was through word-of-mouth and my reputation."
Doreen: "That is fantastic and awesome. Your discovery reminds me of famous Hollywood's celebrities who happen to be at the right place at the right time. How many magazines and book covers have you appeared on?"
Frank: "I have appeared in over 200 magazines in the past 5 years and on the cover of over 70 magazines worldwide. I have worked with a lot of different Romance Book publishing companies and have done ads for DoubleDay Books. I would say I have shot over 50 romance covers. I have also been on the cover of many Fitness books like Musclemag's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding, Arnold Schwazeneggers' book on Fitness."
Doreen: "I am so impressed. Tell me your experience with Musclemag magazine. I believe it must have open doors for you? When did you first get on their cover? "
Frank: "I was on my first magazine cover in 1995 for MuscleMag International. I have done at least 70 since. I have been on 3 covers of Muscle & Fitness in the last 15 months. I feel grateful and lucky to have been able to do it. There are so many good looking people out there, that is a huge compliment and very flattering to be on 3 times."
Doreen: "What about TV shows, endorsement, commercials, special events?"
Frank: "I am the National spokesperson for MetRx and I've made 24 appearances a year for them. I do trade shows, fitness events, TV shows, commercials and a national ad campaign. I'm a N.P.C. judge, N.P.C. NY State Natural Fitness, Figure, Men's bodybuilding championship promoter since Sept 21. I'm spokesperson for the biggest and best sports nutrition company in the world, MetRx. "
Doreen: "You mentioned that you are also an editor and writer for Fitness mags, what do you write about?"
Frank: "I am a contributing editor for Musclemag International - health, fitness, nutrition, training, questions and answers. I am also a contributing editor to American Health and Fitness - Questions plus a monthly story. This month I did the story on K.C. Armstrong of the Howard Stern Show, and next month is an article on pro-wrestling. I've also contributed articles in Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping (on Fitness). I am also the creator of the MetRx CD workout routines for beginners and hosted the CD-ROM available at all Vitamin Shoppe stores."
Doreen: "Frank, you make me want to run out to the gym right now and work out harder (Grin). Do you still remember the very first time you shot a romance cover and what was the name of that book?"
Frank: "The book title was "Half Breed's Lady." I felt lucky to be in the arms of such a beautiful girl. I love shooting romance covers but it's not as easy as people would think. You have to put yourself in a sexy mood and get some kind of connection with the other model. If you don't, the picture would come out forced or unbelievable. You want people to pick up the book and think that these two people are very much in love and about to make love."
Doreen: "I love you on the cover of Brazen Temptress. I had the cover hang on my wall until someone begged me to loan it and the book to her. Till now, I've yet to get it back. See how much you are being adored. You are for keeps."
Frank: (Laughing) "Thanks, it's nice to hear that."
Doreen: "Are you still posing for romance books?"
Frank: "No, I have stopped recently for a couple of reasons. I have a very busy schedule with all of the things that I have going on. I have columns due, MetRx public appearances, acting, modelling and I train and advise hand picked clients on working out and their diet. The other reason is that I would like to work for one Romance book company that will put out a sexy and new product that everyone has to get their hands on. I don't just want to shoot for anyone."
Doreen: "Which talk shows were you on?"
Frank: "Recently I was on Regis and Kelly 3 times. I was hired to tempt one of the girls from Temptation Island, the bathing suit fashion show, having Regis' head superimposed over my body, all these done 3 days in a row, it was fun and the highest rating due to showing of skin (Grin). I've been on Howard Stern show (two times on the panel evaluating Girls who want to be in PLAYBOY magazine, Good Morning Arizona (Romance), The Devil and Daniel Webster with Alec Baldwin, speaking part comes out in April. I'll be appearing on the Conan O'Brien show on Channel 4 at 12.30 pm (NY) on Wednesday March 6. There are other shows that I've done listed on my website. This is just the last 2 months."
Doreen: "Whew, no wonder you are so busy! Certainly modelling and fame must have changed your life."
Frank: "There is not a day that goes by that I thank God that he has given me the opportunity to do something I love everyday of my life. I'm truly blessed. I don't consider myself famous and I always take time to help out a person in the business or answer a fan's question."
Doreen: "You're so sweet and modest, no wonder your male and female fans adore you so much. You've accomplished alot, are there still goals that you are aiming for?"
Frank: "Yes, my immediate plans are to come out with a new book and workout tape. I would love that Muscle and Fitness give me more exposure."
Doreen: "Besides the healthy nutritional diet that you mentioned at your website, what kind of food do you like to eat and drink?"
    Frank: "Sushi and Sake."
Doreen: "What about your favorite past time?"
    Frank: "I like football."
Doreen: "Who is your favorite person/s?"
Frank: "I am close to my whole family. I grew up in a warm and loving atmosphere and I feel very fortunate to have been blessed with great parents, a wonderful brother and sister."
Doreen: "What are your favorite music/actors/movies?"
Frank: "My favorite music is R&B, Hip Hop (Maxwell, R.Kelly, Outkast, Janet Jackson). Favorite actors are Mel Gibson, Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park) and favorite movies are Braveheart, Orgazmo, Vision Quest."
Doreen: "Do you have anything to say to your fans?"
Frank: "Yes, I would like to tell my fans that I am truly appreciative of their support and that if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be able to do something that I love to do. I would like to encourage them to come and talk to me if they see me, so don't be shy. I also want to thank Kathryn Falk and Romantic Times for their kindest support. And last but not least, thank you Doreen for putting me on your site."
Doreen: "It's my pleasure and thank you. I can't wait to see you on the silver screen soon."
