Favorite drink and food: Interesting food from around the world and fine wine
My eyes lit up when I spotted Christopher dressed in mid-19th century English gentry
costume at the Vampire ball. Since I'm a big fan of 19th century English culture and history,
I made my way to his table. As soon as he saw me, he stood up, bowed and kissed my hand.
"Hello Princess, you look lovely in your costume. Would you like to dance?" he asked.
"My pleasure, Sir Christopher," I replied and allowed him to lead me to the dance floor.
I chuckled as we danced to the Scottish pop songs played by a real Scottish band. I laughed
even harder when Christopher and I kicked our legs up and danced like the Cossacks.
"I told some of the readers that you're English but they insisted that you're Australian.
Is that true?"
Christopher shook his head. "No, I'm English, originally from the South of England. Although
I was in the military for several years as was my father and travelled quite a bit, I've never
lived in Australia. Currently I live in Florida, on the east coast."
"Ah, did you move there to have a better foothold in the acting business? Do you like living
there?"
"I like living there mostly because of the weather and the beaches. Floridians are on the
whole very nice, but I find that there are good and bad almost everywhere. I knew that the
entertainment industry was growing in this area and so the chance of getting a better start in
the business seemed likely."
The music changed, Christopher easily swept me into a waltz.
I smiled. "It was very nice of you to ask my friend to dance. She was feeling a little worried
that no one would dance with her because of her weight. Apparently there were other women in this
ball that complained of the same."
"I've female friends who are overly concerned with their weight too. I look at the person on
the whole and not judge them by their weight or appearance. You know, I once said to a lady that
I like her regardless of her size and even if she had gained a few hundred pounds, I would still
like her."
"That's very sweet of you. What would you say then to a woman who is insecure about her looks
and weight?"
"I would say look at yourself the way you would for others to look at you. If you feel
uncomfortable about something, assess what is needed to make you feel comfortable about it. If
weight loss or weight gain is the problem, take serious steps to achieve that goal. If it's looks
in general, try a different hair style and pay attention to skin care and exposure to the sun,
etc. One thing that I would suggest is that the mind set of," Well, that's the way I am and if
anybody doesn't like it, tough!" is nothing but negative and still leaves that person with their
original dilemma. Nothing changes except their own degree of depression. The answer is to achieve
the target weight, or close to it, and get a make-over. I'm not suggesting extremes such as
spending huge amounts of money on diet fads, exercise machines or cosmetic surgery. Exercise
regularly and eat right are key to better health. The better you feel inside, the better you
would feel on the outside."
"I agree with you. It's up to the individual to take steps to make the changes. It's not easy
but it can be done. I'm impressed too by your answers at the Mr. Romance competition, it shows
you're a very romantic person. What kind of women are you attracted to?"
"My ideal woman. Hmm...that's a difficult one as everybody's so different. I respect any
woman who is gracious enough to be genuinely affectionate and pleasant. She has to be a beautiful
person firstly on the inside and a true pleasure to be with. Not one who is too conceited or talks
about other people's faults. A person who is gracious in receiving compliments as well as offering
them when appropriate. The physical side is also important. She should be healthy and respect
herself by taking good care of her skin and muscle tone. Not too musclar and I like her being
active. She needs to be interesting and have an interests for the outdoor and nature. And for
that special lady, I would do whatever it takes to ensure her happiness and give her my undivided
attention and adoration."
"You are making me sigh and have tears in my eyes. Are you turned on by women who ask you out
or tell you blatantly that they are interested in you?"
"It's nice when that happens. I know when it is being done in a way that is comfortable, I find
that flattering. Sometimes when a woman comes on too strong, it seems as if it's a test and I don't
have any trouble working out how to pass it."
"Does nudity bothers you?"
Christopher shook his head. "Nudity in good taste is a beautiful thing. It doesn't bother me
too much although I would respond to the suggestion with a degree of sceptism."
"Did you enjoy yourself at the Mr. Romance competition? How did you know about it? Were other
competitors nice or competitive towards you?"
"The semi-final was fun. I think most of us were unsure what we were there for. The final was
a blast. There were so many wonderful people to meet and make us feel special. The competitors
were mostly very nice. Some had other other commitments and were therefore not so easy to get to
know but there were some great guys there. There was a feeling of comraderie and great support
amongst us than other competitions. I found out about the competition in the local newspaper,
Orlando Sentinel."
"What are your goals?"
"My goals are to continue my acting and modelling, to live long and happy with my perfect
woman. Wealth would be good too but I'll see what the future holds for me."
When our dance ended, I realized that we had danced several dances. No wonder my poor legs
were aching but it was worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Christopher who showed
himself to be a thoughtful, caring gentleman.
